Testimonials

"In the beginning of my adolescence, I didn’t really pay attention to my own well being. I'd go through my days feeling stressed, tired, and overwhelmed, but I kept pushing through without really thinking about how I was actually doing. I thought that was normal.

Over time, I started realizing that ignoring how I felt wasn’t helping me at all. I'd get burnt out easily, lose motivation, and feel like everything was piling up. That’s when I started learning more about self care, even though at first I didn’t really understand what it meant for me personally.

At the beginning, it was small things. Trying to get more sleep, drinking more water, and giving myself breaks without feeling guilty. It didn’t change everything right away, but I started noticing small differences in how I felt day to day.

I also had to learn that self care isn’t just about routines; it’s also about mindset. I started paying more attention to how I talk to myself and allowing myself to rest instead of constantly feeling like I had to be productive.

Slowly, I started feeling more balanced. I still have days where things feel overwhelming, but now I have better ways to handle it. I understand myself more, and I know when I need to slow down.

This journey is still ongoing, but I’ve learned that personal growth doesn’t happen all at once. It’s built through small choices every day that help you take better care of yourself."

"Fitness, health, and MMA helped me navigate my depression by having an outlet to release all the hard and bad feelings into something. It taught me discipline and gave me structure in life, it made it so I could feel like I mattered by doing a sport I really love.

Sweating and being able to raise my hand after a fight was always an accomplishment that made me crawl out of that dark place I was in, and finally come out on top.

Fighting and fitness showed me that if I want something to change, it's as easy as putting one foot in front of the other and taking action to actually better my life and myself."
